Meetings in Cafh are generally held once a week and are often held in private
homes or, in the case of large cities, in public centers of Cafh.
Meetings last an hour, and include a time for meditation
instruction and practice, followed by a presentation
of ideas based on a course of study. Frequently we
use different techniques of exposition, such as dialogue
and workshops.
The facilitator is a member of Cafh with experience
in the meditation exercises and the course material.
We also learn exercises that help us use our thoughts
and energies in a productive way.
Above all, the meetings provide an oasis of calm and
stillness in an otherwise busy and hectic life, where
we can see our lives, our behavior and our relationships
from a higher, broader perspective.
Just as the weekly meetings bring us moments of silence
and reflection, we also enjoy retreats, which are held
in quiet places set aside for the purpose of giving
ourselves some time every year to reflect, to pray
and to think about our lives, our hopes and our aspirations.
The retreats become for us a valuable opportunity for
reflecting about the direction humanity is going and
in what ways we can support its unfolding. |
